No Silence is a powerful work by Karen Wiseman, created in response to abuse, injustice, and the failure of systems meant to protect vulnerable people.
The painting brings together symbols of the church, a priest-like figure, an adult and child, a locked heart, and a key. Each element speaks to trust, responsibility, silence, and the need to acknowledge those who have been failed.
Karen created the work intuitively as a personal response to injustice. For her, No Silence is a statement of support for those who have experienced abuse and a call to speak out.
No more silence. It is time to speak out.
