Kapil Mani Dixit is a Nepali visual artist known for his sustained engagement with figurative art. Working within a cultural context where the nude has historically remained sensitive, his practice has contributed to expanding the scope of contemporary artistic discourse in Nepal.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington (2004). After establishing his practice in the United States, he returned to Nepal in 2008, where he has since focused on developing and advocating for figurative art.
His work has been presented in exhibitions nationally and internationally, with a practice that has evolved over more than two decades. Through consistent engagement, he has contributed to a gradual shift in the reception of figurative work within the local context.
